President
Leyton Angermeier
Leyton Angermeier is a junior from Spanish Fort, AL, majoring in Finance at the Harbert College of Business and currently serves as President of the Auburn Finance Society. He is an active leader within the college, having previously served as Director of the Wealth Management Branch, and is also a member of Phi Gamma Delta fraternity. Leyton is also a member of the Winchester Real Estate Institute and is a consistent Dean’s List student. Last summer, Leyton interned with Owenby Jones Wealth Management as a Private Wealth Management Analyst, where he assisted in building financial plans, preparing for and sitting in on client meetings, placing trades, and developing a strong understanding of financial markets and the FP&A profession as a whole. Outside of the classroom, Leyton enjoys playing intramural sports, studying capital markets, and spending time on the golf course with friends.
VP of Operations
Leah Buczek
Leah Buczek is a junior from Dallas, Texas, majoring in Finance and minoring in Real Estate Development at Auburn University. Last summer, she studied abroad in Milan, Italy, while completing part of her business major coursework. This summer, she will be working as a Development Intern for Dominium in Atlanta, GA, focusing on affordable housing projects to further her career in real estate development. She has also previously interned with Skorburg Company, a single-family housing development company based in Dallas, TX. In addition to AFS, Leah is also the VP of Engagement & Marketing for the Winchester Real Estate Club and is a member of Women in Business at Auburn, where she collaborates with peers to promote leadership and professional development. Outside of academic and professional endeavors, she enjoys floral design, exercising, and cooking.

Anderson Beavor
Anderson Beavor is a junior from Atlanta, Georgia, majoring in Finance at the Harbert College of Business. He is actively involved in the Auburn Finance Society, where he participates in the Financial Institutions and Banking branch. He is also a member of the Sigma Alpha Epsilon fraternity. He is currently seeking a finance Summer 2026 internship. Outside of school, Anderson enjoys watching SEC sports with his friends and playing golf. A fun fact about Anderson is that he has watched Game of Thrones four times.

Livi Hicks
Livi Hicks is a junior from Memphis, Tennessee, studying Finance with a minor in International Business. She is highly involved on campus, participating in intramural sports, Gamma Phi Beta, Women in Business, Peer Instructing for First Year Seminar, the Honors College, CARE Humane Society, and the Derivatives and Wealth Management branches of the Auburn Finance Society. Livi previously served as a Camp War Eagle orientation counselor and currently works as a barista at 7Brew. Last summer, she interned with UBS in Memphis as part of a Private Wealth group, and she will be joining a Commodity and Ingredient Hedging team in Chicago, Illinois, as a Summer 2026 intern. Outside of academics and professional development, Livi competed on a trap and skeet shooting team during high school.

Ben Auger
Benjamin Auger is a sophomore from San Diego, California, majoring in Finance. He is actively involved in the Harbert College of Business as a member of Alpha Kappa Psi Business Fraternity, serves as President of the Professional Sales Association, and holds the role of Assistant Vice President of External Engagement for the Auburn Finance Society. This upcoming summer, Benjamin will be interning with Barnum Financial Group in the Northeast as part of their Financial Advisory pathway. Outside of academics and professional involvement, he enjoys collecting coins, a hobby passed down to him by his grandmother.

Arshia Barjis
Arshia Barjis is an Auburn local and has grown up here since she was 5! She’s a finance major graduating in May 2027 and currently serves as a resident assistant on campus, where she connects with 400+ students and serves as a resource for them. She’s also involved in Auburn Women in Business as well as the business fraternity Alpha Kappa Psi, where she is the VP of Social Affairs. One fun fact about her is that she’s intermediate in Spanish. She’s currently looking for summer of 2026 internships and can’t wait to see what the future holds!
Derivatives
Dr. Jeffrey Hart
Jeffrey Hart is a senior lecturer of finance in the Harbert College of Business. His areas of expertise include investments, fixed income securities, derivatives trading, and hedge funds. Prior to being at Auburn, he was at the University of Iowa, the University of Notre Dame, Southern Methodist University (SMU) and Washington & Lee University. He is also a partner at Palos Harbor Fund LP, a precious metals hedge fund out of United States, Canada and Switzerland.
In 2023, he received the Auburn Harbert College of Business Department of Finance Outstanding Teaching Award. While at the University of Iowa he was rated in the top 5% of professors in teaching for the years of 2021, 2020, 2019, 2018, 2017, 2016, 2014 and 2013. Also, while at Iowa he won the Faculty of the Year, Undergraduate Tippie College of Business Senate in 2016 as well as the President and Provost Award for Teaching Excellence Tippie College of Business Nominee for 2014.
While at the University of Notre Dame he was bestowed the top teaching honor given at the University, the Blessed Basil Anthony Moreau, CSC Outstanding Undergraduate Teaching Award in 2011. Also, while at Notre Dame, he was granted the Master of Accountancy Outstanding Professor Award in 2009.
While at Southern Methodist University he won the Distinguished/Outstanding BBA Teaching Award in 2007, 2006, 2005, 2004, 2003, 2002 and 2001. In 2006, he was featured in BusinessWeek as SMU’s Favorite Professor. He won the SMU Summer Business Institute Outstanding Faculty Award in 2007 and in 2004. Also, in 2001 he received the Outstanding Faculty Award from the Interfraternity Council of SMU. Before entering academia, he was a financial analyst in Chicago and Seattle.
Financial Institutions & Banking
Dr. Damion McIntosh
Damion McIntosh is an accounting, banking, and finance academic and practitioner who holds over 24 years’ experience in finance, banking, and accounting. Most of his professional experiences have been in financial institutions regulation and supervision with Jamaica’s Central Bank. In his capacity, McIntosh exited as the deputy director of the Central Bank’s Bank Regulatory Policy Department. McIntosh is a Keynote speaker and presenter on accounting, and financial sector regulatory and supervisory issues, and has participated in several related working groups in Jamaica and the Caribbean.
Currently, Dr. McIntosh is a professor of practice in finance at Auburn University where he teaches graduate and undergraduate courses in applied financial management, global financial markets, financial analysis, financial markets and institutions, financial sector regulation and supervision, (risk) management of financial institutions, and multinational financial management. He has taught courses in Jamaica to prepare professionals to sit exams leading to designations as Certified Financial Analyst (CFA), US Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Certified Corporate Financial Analysis and Planning (FP&A), and Certified Treasury Professional (CTP). Dr. McIntosh has published research papers on money laundering and bank executive compensation.
McIntosh has been recognized for his quality teaching. He was a finalist for the Pearson Excellence in Higher Education Award for Exemplary Teaching and Learning in 2023. He received the Auburn University Alumni Undergraduate Teaching Award, and the Auburn University Harbert College of Business Lowder Teaching Award, in 2023. In 2021, McIntosh received the National Association of State Boards of Accountancy (NASBA) Center for the Public Interests' Campus Being A Difference Award for Auburn University, and the Auburn University Harbert College of Business McCartney Teaching Award. Previously, McIntosh was Southern Illinois University Outstanding Graduate Assistant Teacher (2009), and the recipient of its College of Business Outstanding Graduate Assistant Teaching Award in 2 consecutive years, 2009 and 2010.
In addition to his academic experiences, Dr. McIntosh is a banking supervision advisor with the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and independent consultant on financial institution regulatory and supervisory issues. As such, McIntosh has provided technical assistance and technical consultancy to regulatory and supervisory authorities in countries in Africa, Asia, Central America, Europe, and South America.
Dr. McIntosh is a doctoral fellow under which he was conferred a PhD specializing in finance from Southern Illinois University. He is a Fulbright Scholar under which he completed an MBA from Southern Illinois University. He is also a Citibank scholar under which he completed a bachelor’s degree in accounting and management at the University of the West Indies. McIntosh is a Certified Finance Manager (CFM), Certified Management Accountant (CMA), US Certified Public Accountant (CPA), and Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist (CAMS).
Wealth Management
Mandy Harrelson, CFP
Mandy Harrelson became Program Champion for the Finance Department at Auburn University’s Harbert College of Business in Fall 2016. As one of the first three original Program Champion hires (finance, marketing, and management), Mandy helped created and shape the new unique position. She is responsible for integrating academic requirements, employer needs, professional development, and student preferences into a holistic program that promotes student entry into their chosen career field. She mentors the 1000+ current finance students in the various career paths within the industry and helps them utilize resources on campus, in hopes to compete for the best internships and career opportunities. In connection, Mandy works closely with companies of all size to maximize their success in recruiting Harbert College of Business finance students.
Mandy teaches Professional Development for Finance {a required course for all finance majors and the third class in the four class Professional Development series within the College of Business}, Principles of Business Finance, and the Internship for class credit course.
Prior to accepting the full-time position as Program Champion, Mandy was an active self-employed financial advisor. Her focus was in personal needs analysis, asset & income protection, education funding, retirement solutions, long term care insurance, and annuities. Mandy won several national awards, including Company Top 100 in Lives and New Clients, while also actively recruiting and training financial representatives. She continues to hold her Series 6, 63, 65, and & 7 licenses and mildly practices in the field with 20/20 Wealth Management. Mandy also possesses her CFP, CLU, ChFC, and CLTC designations.
